Childrens

First Church San Jose has a dynamic ministry for children including Sunday School, Children’s Church, and a summer Vacation Bible School. The church also hosts an annual event on October 31, Community FunFest, to provide children with a safe and entertaining alternative to trick-or-treating.

Sunday School

Sunday School classes are offered for children ages 3 through 14. The Sunday School department provides an age appropriate approach and lively environment to learning God’s Word.  Each month, all classes gather to participate in a Children’s Church service, a church service tailored toward school-aged children.

Hospitality Ministries

The Hospitality Ministries at First Church San Jose consist of ushers, hostesses, telephone follow-up, nursery and kitchen ministries. These ministries provide a welcoming and accommodating environment for guests and members.  Our Nursery provides child care every service for children ages 2 years and younger.

Baptism Ministry

The Baptism Ministry is there to ensure that the Baptismal is always ready to cleanse a hungry soul. They keep diligent records, administer certificates and keep the facility open and clean.

Media Ministries

The Media Ministries includes the communications, sound, audio, video, multimedia, information technology, marketing and church history ministries. While many of these ministries are not readily visible, they play an integral role in the smooth operation of every service, special performance and community event. 

Missions

Heeding the Great Commission of spreading the Gospel, First Church San Jose has been,  an active supporter of home and foreign missions. With a local and global vision, First Church San Jose continues to invest in evangelistic and relief efforts in the United States and around the globe.

Music

The focus of the Music Ministry of First Church San Jose is to create a worship-enhancing, God-focused atmosphere in each service leading the congregation into His presence. The Music Ministry offers various avenues for worshipers, including a mass choir, praise teams, praise band, and special groups. Sign Language Ministry

This ministry interprets every service for hearing impaired members and guests, using Sign Language. The ministry also periodically hosts classes to teach Sign Language to members and guests. To contact the sign language ministry, please emailsign@firstchurchsanjose.com.

Singles

The Singles Ministry offers several social activities throughout the year including camps, dinners, barbeques and picnics for single adults and single parents.

Seniors

The Seniors Ministry, More Than Conquerors, is an active ministry at First Church San Jose, regularly planning dinners, parties and outings throughout the year for senior church and community members.  This ministry often crosses generational boundaries as the children and even grandchildren of members participate in the activities and functions hosted by the group. Women

The Ladies Ministry gathers periodically for informal banquets and other activities to strengthen existing friendships and forge new relationships. An annual Ladies’ Retreat is a special time to fellowship, worship together, and to develop new friendships

Youth     

Revivalution Youth Ministries offers activities and programs for teens and young adults, encouraging spiritual growth, development and friendship connections in our youth. Revivalution youth meets most Friday evenings for events or activities. Having a civic connection with the youth in San Jose, the Revivalution youth also regularly host dinners and/or events throughout the year for members of the local community .

Men

The Men’s Ministry hosts an annual conference, periodic community prayer breakfasts and activities to promote friendship and spiritual strength for members and guests.
